Deleting a Treatment
If a treatment record was entered by mistake or assigned to the wrong animal, you can delete it.
How to Delete a Treatment
- Open the animal’s record.
- Navigate to the Treatments tab.
- Click on the treatment record you want to delete.
- Click Delete.
- Confirm the deletion when prompted.
What Happens
- The treatment record is permanently removed from the animal’s history.
- Any associated withdrawal and booster dates are no longer tracked for that treatment.
When to Delete vs. Edit
| Situation | Recommended Action |
|---|---|
| Treatment entered on the wrong animal | Delete and re-create on the correct animal |
| Duplicate treatment record | Delete the duplicate |
| Wrong date or dosage | Edit the existing record |
| Treatment was planned but not given | Delete the record |
Important Notes
- This action is permanent. Deleted treatment records cannot be recovered.
- Consider the compliance impact. If the treatment record is needed for withdrawal tracking or regulatory compliance, editing is safer than deleting.
