Editing a Treatment

If you need to correct details on a treatment record — such as the date, dosage, or withdrawal date — you can edit it at any time.

How to Edit a Treatment

  1. Open the animal’s record.
  2. Navigate to the Treatments tab.
  3. Click on the treatment record you want to edit.
  4. Update the fields as needed:
    • Date Administered
    • Medication
    • Dosage
    • Withdraw Date
    • Booster Date
    • Comments
  5. Click Save.

When to Edit a Treatment

  • Wrong date — The treatment date was entered incorrectly.
  • Dosage correction — The recorded dosage doesn’t match what was administered.
  • Withdrawal update — The withdrawal date needs to be recalculated based on the correct treatment date.
  • Adding a booster date — The booster schedule was determined after the initial treatment was recorded.

Important Notes

  • Update withdrawal dates carefully. If you change the treatment date, recalculate the withdrawal date based on the medication label to ensure compliance.
  • Changes are tracked. Edits to treatment records are recorded in the audit log.
