| Expenses | Total expenses for the period. |
| Net Profit/Loss | Income minus Expenses. Displays in red if negative. |
Top Drivers

- Top Expense Drivers — Categories with the highest spending. Same detail.
Detailed P&L Table
The main table breaks down every transaction by category, organized into two major sections:
- Income
- Expenses
Each section is expandable and shows:
| Level | What It Shows |
|---|---|
| Section (Income/Expense) | Total for all entries, number of categories and entries |
| Parent Category | Total for the parent and all its subcategories |
| Subcategory | Total for entries in that subcategory |
| Transaction | Individual entry details: type, date, check #, vendor, description, amount |
At the bottom of the table, a Net Profit/Loss row shows the final result.
Filtering by Date
Click the filter button in the toolbar to change the date period. Options include:
- Year-to-Date (YTD)
- Month-to-Date (MTD)
- All Time

The report recalculates all totals based on the selected period.

- A header with the report title and date range.
- All expanded sections and line items.
