Reports Overview
The Reports feature in Cattle360 lets you build custom reports to view your herd data in flexible, filtered views with the columns you choose.
What Are Reports?
A report is a saved view of your animal data with:
- Custom columns — Choose which fields to display (e.g., ear tag, weight, birth date, breeding status).
- Filter criteria — Define which animals appear in the report (e.g., all active cows, all calves born this year).
- Saved configuration — Reports are saved so you can run them again at any time with up-to-date data.
Reports vs. Groups
| Feature | Reports | Smart Groups |
|---|---|---|
| Purpose | View and analyze data with custom columns | Organize animals into collections |
| Custom columns | Yes — choose any combination of fields | Yes — customizable per group |
| Filter criteria | Yes — flexible filtering | Yes — criteria-based membership |
| Show on Dashboard | No | Yes |
| Used in Market Intelligence | No | Yes |

Reports are best for data analysis and review, while groups are best for ongoing animal management.
