Using the Notifications Panel
Cattle360 shows in-app notifications for things you need to know about, like a task becoming due or a grazing rotation reminder to move a herd.
How to View Notifications
- Click the bell icon in the navigation bar. A red badge shows how many notifications are unread.
- Each notification shows a category icon, a title, a short message, its category (e.g., Task, Pasture, Breeding, Financial), and how long ago it arrived. Unread notifications are highlighted.
- Click a notification to open it and see the full message and date/time. If it includes a link, click Open link to go directly to the related record. Opening a notification marks it as read.
- Click the × on a notification row to dismiss just that one, or click Clear All to dismiss everything at once.
What Triggers a Notification
Common examples include:
- A task you’re assigned to or subscribed to becoming due, or being completed/executed.
- A grazing rotation reminding you it’s time to move the herd to the next paddock.
You can control which categories of notifications you receive — see Managing Notification Preferences.
Tips
- Check the bell regularly. It’s the fastest way to see what needs attention across tasks and pastures without hunting through each module.
- Use the link in a notification. It takes you straight to the related task, animal, or record instead of navigating there manually.
