Managing Notification Preferences
You can choose which categories of notifications you receive in Cattle360. Some notifications (account, security, and system messages) are always delivered and can’t be turned off.
How to Access Notification Settings
- Click Settings in the navigation menu.
- Select Notifications.
System Notifications
These categories are always on and can’t be disabled:
- Account — Billing, plan changes, and trial expiration.
- Security — Password resets, login alerts, and two-factor authentication.
- System — Maintenance windows, terms updates, and critical alerts.
Notification Preferences
Use the toggle switches to turn individual optional categories on or off, including Animal Health, Breeding, Pasture, Financial, Working, Auction, Report, General, and Task. Each has a short description of what it covers — for example, Pasture covers rotation reminders and grazing alerts.
Account-Wide Override (Owners and Admins)
Account owners and admins also see an Enable Account Notifications master switch. Turning this off stops all optional notifications for every user in the account — only the always-on Account, Security, and System notifications will still go out. When it’s off, individual preference toggles are locked and show a note that they’re overridden by the account-level setting.
Tips
- Turn off categories you don’t need. If you don’t use Auction or Report features, disabling those categories keeps your notifications focused.
- Keep Task and Pasture on if you use Tasks or grazing rotations. Those are the categories driving due-date and move reminders.
