Editing and Deleting Tasks

You can update a task’s details at any time before it’s completed, or remove it entirely.

How to Edit a Task

  1. On the Tasks page, open the task’s row-action menu and choose Edit.
  2. Update the title, description, due date, priority, assignees, subscribers, or notification checkboxes.
  3. Click Save.

For an Action task, editing shows a read-only summary of the configured action (e.g., “Record Sale for 12 animal(s)”). You can still change the surrounding details (title, due date, priority, notifications), but to change the action type or the target animals, delete the task and create a new one.

How to Delete a Task

  1. On the Tasks page, open the task’s row-action menu and choose Delete.
  2. Confirm the deletion.

Deleting a task removes it and its target animal list (for Action tasks) — it does not affect the animals themselves, since deleting only cancels the scheduled action.

Tips

  • Delete instead of editing when an Action task’s target list has changed. There’s no way to add or remove animals from an existing Action task.
  • Use the Tasks page filters and “Show completed” checkbox to find older tasks you may want to clean up.
