Downloading the Pedigree PDF
The Pedigree tab can generate a printable pedigree certificate for an animal — a PDF you can save, print, or share with buyers, registries, and partners.
How to Download
- Open the animal’s Pedigree tab.
- In the toolbar at the top, click Download pedigree PDF.
- The button shows “Preparing…” while the certificate is generated, then the PDF downloads automatically.
The file is named after the animal’s ear tag — for example, pedigree-1234.pdf.
What’s in the Certificate
The PDF captures the animal’s pedigree as recorded in Cattle360 — its identifying details and its ancestry — in a clean, printable layout suitable for sharing outside the app.
When to Use It
- Selling breeding stock. Provide buyers with a documented pedigree alongside the animal.
- Registry or association paperwork. Hand off a printable lineage record.
- Your own records. Keep an offline snapshot of an animal’s pedigree at a point in time.
Notes
- The certificate reflects current data. It captures the sire and dam links as they exist when you generate it, so complete the lineage first for the fullest certificate.
- Premium feature. Like the rest of the Pedigree tab, the PDF is available on the Premium plan.
Tips
- Fill in ancestry before generating. Assign sire, dam, and grandparents so the certificate shows a deep tree rather than blanks.
- Regenerate after changes. If you correct a parent link, download a fresh PDF so the certificate stays accurate.
