Exporting Your Data

Account owners can download a complete backup of their ranch data — animals, financials, treatments, breedings, pastures, and attached images — as a single downloadable file.

How to Export Your Data

1. Click Settings in the navigation menu.
2. Go to Ranch Settings and find the Data Export section.
3. Choose a Data file format — JSON or CSV (see below).
4. Click Export All Data.
5. Confirm the export in the dialog that appears. Large accounts may take a few minutes.

Once the export finishes, your download starts automatically.

Choosing a File Format

The format choice only affects the data files. Attached images and files are included either way, and the export covers the same information in both formats — pick whichever you’ll actually open.

What’s Included

The export is a ZIP file containing your data organized by section: animals, breedings and genetics, groups, pastures and grazing, financials, receipts, sale tickets, workings, checks, tasks, feed, medications, devices, reports and fieldsheets, ranch settings and users — plus every attached image and file. A manifest file summarizes what was included.

Change history and billing records are not included.

Tips

• Only the account owner (or a super admin) can export. If you don’t see this option, ask your account owner to run the export.
• Your download link is temporary. If you don’t save the file right away, you may need to run the export again to get a fresh link.
• Good to run before a big cleanup. Export your data before using Starting Over: Resetting Account Data if you want a copy of what you’re about to delete.
