Rainfall on the Calendar

Beyond scheduled events, the calendar also surfaces daily rainfall for your pastures — giving you a month-long picture of moisture right alongside your calvings, rotations, and tasks.

Where Rainfall Comes From

Rainfall on the calendar is drawn from the rainfall you log on your pastures. For each day, Cattle360 averages the recorded rainfall across the pastures that reported rain and shows that figure on the calendar. How It Appears

• On the day cell — a cloud icon with the day’s average inches (the number condenses on smaller screens).
• In the day detail — a summary line noting the average inches and how many pastures reported rain that day.

Days with no logged rain simply show no rainfall indicator.

Why It’s Useful Here

Seeing rainfall on the same calendar as your grazing rotations makes it easy to connect moisture to grass recovery. A dry stretch before a Rotation (Upcoming) move is a cue that a paddock may need more rest than the target graze days assume; a good rain is a sign it may bounce back faster.

Tips

• Log rainfall by pasture the day it falls. The calendar average is only as good as the entries behind it.
• Read rainfall next to rotation events. Together they tell you whether a paddock is really ready, not just whether the calendar says it’s time.
