Booster & Treatment Due Report

The Booster & Treatment Due report looks forward: which animals have a booster coming up, and which are already overdue.

How to Run It

  1. Go to Reports and click Booster & Treatment Due.
  2. Click Edit Criteria.
  3. Set Include boosters due within — 30, 60, 90 or 120 days. It starts at 30.
  4. Set any other filters and click Run Report.

Columns

ColumnWhat it shows
Ear TagWhatever your account identifies animals by.
MedicationThe product the booster follows.
DosageHow much was given the first time.
Date AdministeredWhen the original treatment was given.
Booster DateWhen the booster is due.
Days Until DueDays from today until the booster date. Negative means overdue.
PastureWhere the animal is standing now.

Rows are ordered by booster date, so anything overdue sits at the top.

Overdue Boosters Are Always Included

The days-ahead setting is a forward window only. There is no cut-off going backwards, so a booster that came due last spring and was never given still appears, with a negative Days Until Due.

That is deliberate — a missed booster does not stop mattering because the date passed. If the list is longer than you expected, it is usually years of overdue records rather than a busy month ahead.

What Counts

  • The treatment has a booster date recorded on it, and
  • that date is on or before today plus your window.

A treatment saved without a booster date never appears here, whatever the product normally calls for — the report has nothing to work from. See Tracking Withdrawal and Booster Dates for recording them as you go.

One row per treatment, so an animal with two products due shows twice.

What to Use It For

  • Planning a working. Run it at 60 days, filter to a group, and you have the list of what that working is for. Turn it into a fieldsheet if you want it on paper — see Creating a Fieldsheet.
  • Catching what got missed. Run it whole-herd and sort to the top of the list; everything negative is a gap.
  • Grouping the work by pasture. The Pasture column tells you how many trips it is.

Clearing Overdue Rows

A row leaves this report when the booster date on the treatment is no longer within the window — which normally means recording the booster you gave as its own treatment, then correcting the original record if its booster date was wrong. The report reads the dates on your treatment records, so that is where to fix it.

Tips

  • Start at 30 days, then widen. The 120-day view is for planning a season; 30 is for planning a week.
  • Deal with the negatives first. They are the only rows on the report that represent something already missed.
