Quick Actions from the Dashboard

The Dashboard provides quick action buttons so you can perform common tasks without navigating through menus.

Available Quick Actions

• Add Animal — Opens the add animal form to create a new animal record. See Adding an Animal for details.
• Create Group — Opens the group creation form. You can create either a static or smart group. See Creating a Static Group or Creating a Smart Group.

Using Quick Actions

1. From the Dashboard, click the quick action button for the task you want.
2. The relevant form opens.
3. Fill in the details and save.
4. You are returned to the Dashboard or the newly created record.

Adding Animals from a Group Card

You can also add animals from within a group card on the Dashboard:

1. Click on a group card to open the group.
2. Click Add Animal from within the group.
3. The new animal is automatically added to that group when saved.

Tips

• Use group-level add for organization. Adding an animal from within a group automatically assigns that animal to the group, saving an extra step.
• The Dashboard is fastest for routine tasks. Instead of navigating to the Groups Dashboard and then into a group, use the Dashboard cards for direct access.
