Completing a Working

Completing a Working

You finish a working by processing every animal and then tapping Finish. Your work saves as you go, so the finish step is a review and wrap-up, not a big save at the end.

Finishing a Session

  1. Work each animal until it is Done (all tasks recorded or skipped) or Missed.
  2. Tap Finish in the bottom action bar to open the Working Summary. (When every animal is Done or Missed, this summary opens automatically.)
  3. Review the summary and tap Finish working. You’re taken back to the Workings dashboard.

The Working Summary

The summary shows the state of the whole working:

  • Total Animals, Done, Missed, and Pending counts.
  • Waiting to sync — only appears if some results were recorded without signal and haven’t reached Cattle360 yet.

From here you can:

  • Finish working — Close out the session and return to the Workings dashboard.
  • Sync N and finish — Shown instead when results are still waiting to sync. Sends them first, then finishes. If there’s still no connection, the summary says how many are waiting so you can try again once you have signal. If some can’t be saved, it tells you how many succeeded and how many failed.
  • Continue working — Close the summary and return to the chute.

When Is a Working “Completed”?

A working shows as Completed on the dashboard once every animal has been processed (each is Done or Missed) and your work has synced. Its card still opens so you can review what was done.

Revisiting Missed Animals

Animals you marked Missed Chute are set aside, not lost. Tap More → Working history on the chute to see them and jump back to any animal to finish its tasks — for example, when a missed animal comes back around the pen.

Deleting a Working

To remove a working entirely, use the trash icon on its card on the Workings dashboard and confirm. This deletes the working and its processing records. It does not undo treatments, weights, or other records that were already saved onto individual animals during the session.

Tips

  • Sync before you leave signal. If you worked offline, watch for the waiting to sync count on the Finish button and let it reach zero (or tap Sync now) before closing the chute — see Working Offline.
  • Review the counts. A quick glance at Pending and Missed in the summary tells you whether any animal still needs attention before you finish.
