Printing a Working Packet

A working packet is a printable, paper version of your working — one row per animal with a column for each task. Print it to work a chute on paper when a screen isn’t practical, then (optionally) scan the marked-up pages back into Cattle360 for review.

What’s on the Packet

• Working details — name, date, location, and a template version.
• A row for each animal — showing its ear tag and EID.
• A column for each task — a box to mark as you work each animal.
• Machine-readable markers — row anchors and the working ID that let Cattle360 line the scanned page back up with the right animals and tasks.

How to Print a Packet

1. Go to the Workings dashboard.
2. On the working’s card, tap the print icon (Open print packet). You can also open the packet from the Scan Batches screen.
3. The packet is generated for that working. Use your browser or device Print to print it, or save it as a PDF.

Using the Packet in the Field

• Mark each task box as you work the animal.
• Keep the printed markers and anchors clean and unobscured — they’re how the app re-aligns the page if you scan it back in.
• Write clearly in the value boxes (for example weights), since those are read back by the scan feature.

Next Step: Scan It Back In (Optional)

Once the paper is marked up, you can photograph or scan the pages and upload them so Cattle360 stages the results per animal for your review before anything is saved. See Scanning Paper Working Sheets.

Tips

• Print before you lose signal. The packet is a great fallback for pens with no connectivity if you’d rather use paper than the offline chute.
• One packet per working. The packet is tied to a specific working, so its rows match exactly the animals in that session.
