Reviewing Work: History, Missed, and Re-work

Chute work is rarely perfectly linear — animals get set aside, come back around, or need a task redone. Cattle360 gives you three tools to keep everything straight without leaving the chute.

History

Tap History in the bottom action bar to see every animal in the working and its current status (Pending, In Progress, Done, or Missed). From the History list you can:

  • See at a glance which animals still need work.
  • Jump to any animal — tap it to load it back onto the chute, whether to finish it, review it, or re-work it.

History is the fastest way to find a specific animal or to circle back to anything you skipped over earlier.

Missed Chute

When an animal won’t go through — it balks, bolts, or you decide to handle it later — tap Missed in the bottom bar. Marking an animal Missed Chute:

  • Skips its remaining tasks so you can keep the line moving.
  • Sets the animal aside as Missed rather than Done.
  • Leaves it easy to find again in History.

When the animal comes back around the pen, open History, load it, and work its tasks normally.

Re-work an Animal

If an animal is already Done but you need to change or re-record something, use Re-work. This resets all of that animal’s tasks back to Pending so you can record or skip them again. Confirm when prompted; the animal returns to In Progress and its task buttons re-enable.

Correcting a Single Task

You don’t always need to re-work a whole animal. While an animal is still loaded, you can:

  • + Add Task — Attach an extra one-off task (for example a note about something you noticed) to just that animal.
  • Use the per-row Record / Skip buttons to handle individual tasks precisely.

Tips

  • Missed, not skipped. Use Missed for “come back to this animal” and Skip for “this task doesn’t apply.”
  • Check History before you finish. A quick scan for any remaining Pending or Missed animals ensures nothing is left undone.
  • Re-work is safe. It only resets task statuses so you can record again — it doesn’t erase what you already saved to the animal’s record until you re-record over it.
